Welcome to ArchiVAL 2023, an annual public exhibition proudly presented by the National University of Singapore's (NUS) Department of Architecture (DoA) and thoughtfully curated by The Architecture Society (TAS). This remarkable event brings together a carefully selected collection of some 200+ NUS Architecture and Landscape Architecture student projects from the past academic year, capturing the vibrant spirit of the architecture school community during a transformative post-pandemic era.

ArchiVal is conceived as an architectural design exhibition, coupled together with a series of physical programmes, showcasing the works, stories, and emotions of the architecture and landscape architecture school community during the period of transition.

Join us for a fun and intriguing debate where Students and Profs engage on relevant issues within the Architecture field, listen to new ideas and perspectives, and reflect on how these insights impact one as an architect, educator, or student.

This year’s debate motion is “Honouring the heritage of buildings in Singapore can only be done through preserving them.”

A collaboration with Touchwood GUI (Group-Up Initiative), the workshop is organised to celebrate the official launch of TAS's inaugural Green Committee, to allow students to learn more about upcycling materials and the wood working culture in Singapore.

Singapore’s veteran architect (and architect of Golden Mile), Ar. Tay Kheng Soon, will be giving a talk at the Architecture Dialogue before the debate! He will be joined with two of our Masters of Conservation students, Melissa Lee and Gevin Timotius, to discuss more on the conservation of heritage, in particular the Golden Mile.

ARCHade is a pop-up initiative started by TAS in 2022, it aims to create a platform that allows students of the Architecture community to promote their small businesses and to inspire and spark interest within potential candidates to take up entrepreneurship.
